Summary: A CRAFT Associate Media Director is an enthusiastic team-player who’s ready to tackle any campaign, big or small. The Associate Media Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day management of advertising campaigns, working with CRAFT’s account teams to plan, present, and execute a strategy. They can easily turn data into a campaign narrative, guiding their colleagues and clients throughout the marketing process. 

The Associate Media Director produces comprehensive advertising plans, coordinates real time ad performance dashboards, and compiles thoughtful post-campaign reports. They build strong vendor relationships and coordinate with them when needed. They’re excited to tackle federal and state policy issues, reach legislators, leverage influencers, and drive grassroots audiences to take advocacy action.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Leadership, Media, Digital, and Creative to formulate ad plans, memos, and ad reports.
  • Directly manage effective, measurable, and successful ad campaigns.
  • Ensure consistency and quality of campaigns.
  • Communicate ad performance to clients and account teams effectively, translating the advertising alphabet soup into actionable insights.

DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES:

  • Develop advertising plans that clearly outline budget allocation, channel utilization, selected markets, target audiences, and other ad variables. 
  • Contribute to campaign strategy development and inform how advertising integrates with other account deliverables. 
  • Execute traditional and digital advertising buys. (This includes initiating insertion orders and placing ads programmatically.) 
  • Monitor campaign performance and communicate recommendations across the leadership, accounts, and client teams. 
  • Compile mid-flight and post-campaign ad reports that capture key data points and tells a compelling narrative. 
  • Serve as a client-facing source for campaign updates and other account-relevant contributions. 
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure CRAFT has access to the latest and greatest ad tech and digital service offerings across the industry. 
  • Contribute to the business development process when needed, including developing prospective ad strategies.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem—a strong familiarity with digital advertising platforms and base knowledge of DSPs, SSPs, and ad exchanges is required. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines. Execute high-quality work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment, as well as independently and exercise sound professional judgment. 
  • Extensive experience with Excel or Google Sheets.

Summary: A CRAFT Director of Production will lead all of CRAFT’s Production needs. This is a hybrid role responsible for video production and creative resource allocation. The Director of Production liaises between the creative team, account staff, and leadership of the agency, and works with clients to coordinate and execute video and design projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a Producer, Director of Photography, Camera Operator, and/or Director on video shoots that includes overseeing and executing the following:
    • Shoot production, direction, and coordination including managing internal staff and external crew on shoots and edits
    • Shoot memos
    • Script writing
    • VO direction
    • Production and edit schedule
  • Lead project management across the Creative department that includes the following:
    • Establish, manage, and convey goals, scope, timelines, and expectations of production project to Account teams and leadership
    • Liaison timeline and resource expectations between the Creative and Account teams
    • Serve as financial lead on production projects including establishing budget and executing department billing
    • Manage multiple work streams to complete deliverables across traditional and digital advertising projects
    • Review treatments, talent, crew, editor/director/post-house reels and provide recommendations for best-fit resources
    • Supervise internal post-production processes, assisting where necessary to ensure projects are completed on budget and on time.
  • Directly manage creative vendors, strategic partners, and CRAFT video production staff
  • Propose strategic recommendations that promote project development, team culture, and profitability
  • Organize and manage agency production files
  • Negotiate with clients and agency staff regarding campaign details
  • Leverage TV/print/digital production expertise and post-house contacts to add value to projects
  • Liaise with Account teams to create client concept memos, SOWs, and scripts to guide client/agency relationship

  • 3-5 years of experience at an agency or like environment as a production manager, producer, or similar role
  • Demonstrated experience as a producer (AD reel preferable)
  • Proficiency with current video editing software including Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects or other animation programs is a plus
  • Working knowledge of video/TV distribution platforms such as YouTube, Extreme Reach, DG Fast Channel and video distribution strategy
  • Experience working on production shoots with an understanding of the moving parts (crew roles, lighting the set, etc.)
  • Experience working with several different types of cameras in the field and an understanding of which production tools are suitable for different kinds of video projects
  • Hands-on knowledge of higher-level production equipment such as dollies, jibs, sliders, and/or Steadicam is a plus

Summary: A CRAFT Creative Services Manager is responsible for day-to-day activities in support of client services, specifically managing the creative production agency wide. This role is focused on keeping the team organized and properly resourced throughout the development and execution process for creative projects, making strategic recommendations and decisions around resource planning and management. The Creative Services Manager liaises between the creative team, account staff, and leadership of the agency, and works with clients to coordinate and execute video and design projects.

  • Lead project-based staffing across the Creative department for both active client work and pitch work

Summary: The Director, Public Affairs is responsible for developing and implementing multi-faceted public affairsand communication strategies to effectively engage in policy debates, shape public awareness and opinion, andimpact media coverage on behalf of corporate, association and nonprofit clients.

The successful Director thrives on tackling complex issues, developing creative solutions to difficult problems, anddeveloping compelling messages and arguments that cut through and win.

The Director can move seamlessly across a mix of work that may include: state and federal legislative advocacycampaigns, industry reputation campaigns, crisis communications, ally development and coalition building, andgrassroots engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day execution of client projects and oversee implementation of all elements of client
    strategies and deliverables.
  • Develop effective communications and public affairs strategies and advise client teams on strategic
    approaches and the most appropriate mix of communications and public affairs tactics for a given issue.
  • Develop and manage work plans and budgets to ensure client objectives are met with high-quality, on-
    time, and on-budget deliverables.
  • Draft compelling issue narratives, messages, and supporting communications materials.
  • Translate complex issues into understandable messages and arguments that resonate with key audiences
    and stakeholders.
  • Lead calls and team meetings to ensure regular, proactive communications.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Qualified candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of directly relevant public affairs experience with specific experience in issue advocacy and complex issue/reputation campaigns
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience at a public affairs firm
  • A proven track record of successfully managing public affairs clients and accounts
  • Experience managing internal project teams
  • Experience with coalition-building, alliance development and grassroots engagement strategies
  • A solid understanding of digital, traditional, and paid media
  • Outstanding writing skills across a variety of formats including messaging, persuasive writing, op-eds, media materials and strategy documents
  • Outstanding verbal communications and presentation skills

The Advertising & Media Strategist produces comprehensive advertising plans, develops real time ad performancedashboards, and compiles thoughtful post-campaign reports. They build strong vendor relationships andcoordinate with them when needed. They’re excited to tackle federal and state policy issues, reach legislators,leverage influencers, and drive grassroots audiences to take advocacy action.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Leadership, Media, Digital, and Creative to formulate ad plans, memos, and ad reports.
  • Directly build and manage effective, measurable, and successful ad campaigns.
  • Communicate ad performance to clients and account teams effectively, translating the advertising alphabet soup into actionable insights.

DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES:

  • Develop advertising plans that clearly outline budget allocation, channel utilization, selected markets, target audiences, and other ad variables.
  • Contribute to campaign strategy development and inform how advertising integrates with other account deliverables.
  • Execute traditional and digital advertising buys. (This includes initiating insertion orders and placing ads programmatically.)
  • Monitor campaign performance and communicate recommendations across the leadership, accounts, and client teams.
  • Compile mid-flight and post-campaign ad reports that capture key data points and tell a compelling narrative.
  • Serve as a client-facing source for campaign updates and other account-relevant contributions.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure CRAFT has access to the latest and greatest ad tech and digital service offerings across the industry.
  • Contribute to the business development process when needed, including developing prospective ad strategies.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem—a strong familiarity with digital advertising platforms and base knowledge of DSPs, SSPs, and ad exchanges is required.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines. Execute high-quality work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment, as well as independently and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Extensive experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience with some or all of the following: Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads Manager, Google
  • Tag Manager, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Snapchat Ads, Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Google Data Studio, Supermetrics, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization software.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-8 years of relevant work experience required. (This position can be at the Strategist, Senior Strategist, or Manager level, depending on the candidate’s experience.)
  • Agency experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding to work with clients’ government affairs teams on advocacy related issues strongly preferred.

Summary:  CRAFT’s Public Affairs internship provides a unique, hands-on experience to contribute to exciting projects for CRAFT’s clients.  Responsibilities include client research, monitoring and producing content for client social media communities, data entry, and assisting Account teams with client projects. The Public Affairs intern will also work collaboratively across channels with other firm employees to coordinate project goals and work duties.

Responsibilities of the Public Affairs Intern will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Conducting research and analysis as directed.

  • Participating in internal and external meetings.

Job Description

The Web Developer at CRAFT | Media/Digital is an experienced developer that can create and maintain websites. This position works with WordPress and other CMS tools, building images and visual components, writing code for new pages and layouts and integrating external tools into websites.

Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Director of Technology.

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain websites using WordPress and other CMS tools
  • Build custom themes for WordPress from scratch
  • Build images and components in PhotoShop
  • Write HTMLS from scratch without the aid of a visual editor
  • Write code for new web pages and layouts in HTML and CSS, integrating external tools such as social networking via embedded widgets or donation platforms using API
  • Write CSS from scratch, understanding and troubleshooting styles for cross-browser compatibility
  • Using Adobe Creative Suite, lay out websites, feature images, adapt graphics and logos, and translate website mockups into code

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience and competency with HTML 5, CSS 3, and other emergent standards
  • Full understanding of DOM required
  • Experience writing custom plug-ins for WordPress is preferred
  • Ability to write JavaScript functions as well as understand jQuery and popular libraries
  • Experience implementing responsive design
  • Experience implementing parallax scrolling in WordPress themes
  • Database knowledge (MySQL/MSSQL) is a plus
